Arizona is giving up on wildlife crossing projects which make both humans and wildlife safer.

Last Thursday, $8.2 million was authorized to be spent on 2 underpasses and 1 overpass for wildlife north of Tucson, AZ to provide connectivity between the Tortolita and Catalina Mountain...and our linkage design helped inform the effort!

The Society for Conservation Biology will be hosting their regional conference in Flagstaff, AZ next week. There's an entire day of connectivity goodness at the Conserving Connectivity in Changing Landscapes symposium on Tuesday, October 6. I hope to have several blog posts up within a week summarizing the day's events.
